SBS HQ newly adorned with @coppersoundpedals & @earthquakerdev pennants. The art on the walls here, just like our demo boards, always in flux. A nice mix of the brand new, new to us and long time favorites. #stompboxsonic #soundtasting

It is here! The Scrolls® Bass Odyssey from @earthquakerdev . Designed in partnership with Japan’s one and only master of bass tone—@nakaokentaro ! Scrolls is a powerful, modern tool capable of shaping the organic input signal of any bass to match the sonic profile of virtually any bass/amp combination you can think of. On the right side of Scrolls, you’ll find a Drive section featuring a versatile, tube amp-like distortion. Key amongst the Drive section features are the Blend knob, which enables you to adjust the amount of clean signal present in the overdriven signal, and the position of the Bandwidth knob determines where the clipping is most prevalent—lower frequencies counterclockwise and higher frequencies clockwise. Together, the Blend and Bandwidth knob can be adjusted to ensure the low-end response remains wide, deep, and full when using the Drive section. The left side of Scrolls features a full suite of active EQ controls including audiophile-quality Bass, Middle, and Treble controls. The secret weapon of Scrolls' EQ section is the Variable Frequency control with the ability to cut/boost frequencies from around 20 Hz to 10 kHz—making it the perfect tool for cutting out the mud and boosting the high-end. Within the EQ section, you’ll find three push button switches that serve as potent assets for one-click tone sculpting. The buffered Parallel Out enables you to send a clean signal out to an external destination. Internally, the Drive signal comes first in the chain and runs into the EQ. Between the Drive and EQ lives an Effects Loop, which enables you to keep your modulation effects positioned after the Drive section in your chain, while retaining the ability to apply all the tone-shaping capabilities of the EQ section at the end of your chain. Scrolls can be routed directly to your bass amp via the ¼" output or you can use the balanced XLR out to run Scrolls directly to the front of house for an ampless show or straight into your recording interface for ampless recording. The XLR out features just a splash of analog filtering to make it sound more like a speaker cabinet in amp-free scenarios. #stompboxsonic #earthquakerdevices

Keith is out here helping me hone my Katakana reading skills. Digging this Jimmy Cliff cover (and Chuck Berry on the B-Side). Happened up this 7" shortly after finishing the Jimmy Cliff episode of @500songspodcast and randomly stopping into a used record shop on my way home.

Used EarthQuaker Devices Levitation reverb up on the site. 60's inspired reverberations. Couldn't ask for a better co-pilot for your surf, twang, psych road trip. This is an older clicky footswitch version, before flexiswitches and back when EQD still used the plain cardboard boxes not the printed Octoskull version used today. Tested, works great. Sounds fantastic.

The SUPEREGO (aka the "Polyphonic fFreeze") What's it all about? "The polyphonic SUPEREGO Synth Engine from Electro-Harmonix reinvents sample and hold, performs fluid glissandos and creates oscillator like, synthesizer effects. It can stack sounds or create infinite sustain, it even lets you tweak attack and decay, or use its effects loop to invent novel synth patches." #stompboxsonic #soundtasting #electroharmonix #ehxsuperego

Down to our last @oldbloodnoise Excess v1. Marked the price down so someone out there can get distorted + weird with this high-gain modulation device without spending too much. We've had this since it was first released a few years back so there may be some slight cosmetic blemishes but we all know what's important, whether makes rad sounds. And it does. "Old Blood Noise Endeavors Excess is everything you need for your next ripping session in 1985 and beyond. The goods : high gain distortion, lush chorus and slapback delay in a selectable series or parallel signal path. The Excess has separate volume controls for both the Distortion and the Modulation effects. The modulation mode is changed via the secondary stompswitch which changes between chorus and delay." #stompboxsonic #soundtasting #oldbloodnoiseendeavors

First thing you should know is thisThe Black Arts Tone Works Pharaoh Supreme has been with us since 2012. It is a Big Muff inspired pedal that sounds fantastic. Whole lot of options here to sculpt your idealized version of a timeless fuzz. Second thing you should know is there are some blemishes to the finish. All cosmetic. A scratch here, a ding in the paint there. Maybe some slight discolorations in the finish in certain light. The original box is looking a little worn too. All that to say, we are discounting this unit. The pedal sounds and functions as it should. Get some rad sounds for a good price! More info: The Supreme has all of the sounds and abilities of the Standard Pharaohs, but with some very useful additions and a bit of a twist. In place of the hi/lo switch, the Supreme utilizes a variable pre input control to infinitely adjust the saturation of the front end of the circuit from 1 to 10. In Place of the 3 way diode selector, the Supreme utilizes a 6 way rotary switch to select from the Standard Pharaoh diode settings, plus an additional 3 setting not available on the previous Pharaohs. The Pharaoh supreme allows selection from the following diode settings: Germanium, Asymmetrical Germanium(standard Pharaoh), Silicon (standard Pharaoh), Mosfet, LED and Bypass (standard Pharaoh). #stompboxsonic #soundtasting #blackartstoneworks
