The metal bars are chosen as both reaction and suggestion — we need a backbone of steel to dance our freedom. Part of “Before the Mirror” in +359 Gallery, a project of the Ilvida Foundation, realized thanks to the Lozenets District and with the financial support of the Sofia Municipality – Culture Programme, the Singer-Zahariev Foundation, and the National Culture Fund. Known primarily for her work in theatre – directing, set design, and costume design – she presents visual works within the exhibition that explore entrenched notions of gender. The project of the Ilvida Foundation is realised with the support of the Sofia Municipality – Culture Programme, the Singer-Zahariev Foundation, and the National Culture Fund.
