We placed a lot of grief into this collection of songs. Through the processing of significant loss, we found tremendous power. To anyone who has felt hopeless after the death of someone very near and dear to them, our hearts go out to you.
This album is in loving memory of Matt Cornier.
Funny enough, he tried to name our band The Ghost of Sunshine’s Past back in 2017. We misheard him due to the combination of booze and bud, leading us to the band name you know now.
Sometimes, we have to grieve the living as well. It feels as though that is more common, but less talked about. The visions of a future that felt so real can be stripped away from you rather quickly.
May your darkest moments transform into your greatest triumphs ❤️
