big one in 💛 we are extremely excited to present an evening and night of Chicago Footwork in Stereo, hosting legendary Teklife as part of the 15th anniversary celebrations
Established by DJ Rashad, in an almost cult-like fashion, the word Teklife has become a household name in the international dance music community.
What started as a tight group of friends with a common interest in the homegrown Chicago culture known as footwork, eventually morphed into a network of artists working in many mediums across the globe.
Honouring the legacy of DJ Rashad, Teklife continues to push the culture through music, dance and visual art and expanding Chicago Footwork range and global impact
We are extremely honoured to invite DJ Spinn and Traxman, who are joined by long time friend and collaborator DJ Paypal, and
@moveltraxx founder Big Dope P, in what might be one the biggest Footwork event in Glasgow in some time.
On support we have Glasgow’s own Saparilla and Chicha, both incredible selectors as well as promoters and community organisers cherished by Glasgow scene
But that’s not all 💛💛💛
to really hone in on the spirit of community and global cultural exchange, we are collaborating with
@chicagofootworkscotland for a Chicago Footwork dance workshop ahead of the event, taught by the member of the legendary dance crew Creation Global,

AND, following that,
@stewgla crew are facilitating an open decks and a dj workshop, - a relaxed space to practice playing tracks connected tot the culture (think Footwork, Juke, Chicago House, Ghettotech, Ghettohouse +++)
