Excited to share some evidence of my first light installation up now permanently at @a_bar_with_shapes_for_a_name_ Exploring infinite gradients, depth perception, colour interaction & modulation. Responding to various data inputs and modulating throughout each evening and evolving throughout the year. Slide 2 shows a brief test run of some initial colourway modulation during it's setup. Ever since i picked up a camera I’ve been drawn to the emotive properties of light, something that’s permeated my photography work throughout the years. I'm very interested in how various colour iterations can affect and evoke moods in the space, and i’m looking to tweak and add to this as time goes on as something of a live ongoing project. Alongside this, I helped redesign the architectural lighting in the room alongside @cake.architecture who also did a great job in designing the new space downstairs. I have to give a big thanks to @paul_lougrat of @bar_with_shapes_for_a_name in believing in my vision and supporting the project. Couldn’t have done it without @c_humblethomas for helping every step of the way with the build & the install with @andumasebo . On Thursday 25th May 7-9pm we’re celebrating with a private launch event in the main upstairs room of the bar, where I’ll be curating a playlist to go alongside a more dynamic permutation of the installation, may even include a couple of my own forthcoming tracks in there… DM me for list.

Still got it @villageunderground this past Friday supporting @blawan . We do it again in Amsterdam for ADE 22nd Oct. In the last few months leading up to my new EP, I’ve been rebuilding my DJ collection from scratch, thinking what a Braiden dj set is in 2025 and what could align with and frame the productions I’ve been working on. My new Raindance EP is out today, both vinyl and digital on my @offoutlabel . So happy to get a new release out into the world and an insight into some of the work I’ve been doing in my studio in recent years. A huge thanks to everyone that's helped on this and supported so far, it means a lot to me. A dancefloor constructed in my own head, taking cues from my range of influences over the years. I’ve been experimenting and immersing myself in a lot of ambient and atmospheric work, and wanted to blend that all in this EP - a club centric and adjacent EP thats really designed as a continous listen. Returning to @rinse.fm to do a 1 hour radio show this Saturday at Midnight Back in the day, after a year's stint at SubFM, I had a radio show on Rinse FM - between the years of 2007-2012. I was brought in after guesting on the show of another mixing obsessed DJ - Youngsta, when it was still an FM only pirate radio station and years before I started producing music. I guess I did a good enough showing at the time, as they invited me to have my own slot which I did weekly for the next 5 years, cycling with my records from Peckham up to their broadcast basement by the A12 in Bow. So it’s nice to be back on the station that was a part of my formative years, with a slightly nicer studio this time. Last week at ADE @amsterdamdanceevent - @parallel.am club supporting the @blawan live show pt 2. Real pleasure to play these two shows after a prolonged hiatus. With my recent productions in mind, I've been rebuilding my approach to DJing and these sets were a great test bed for experimenting with some of these ideas. Really appreciate all the words and videos from everyone. To co-incide with my new EP out tomorrow, I've made a new studio mix for the fabled @thisisransomnote mix series - link's in bio. Couple of DJ dates coming up too supporting Blawans live show in London and Amsterdam (10th & 22nd Oct) It's quite a tight mix at 38 minutes, and is my first step back into DJing after many years of focusing on music production. For a long time DJing really was the centre of my life and it's never left me, so its nice to rebuild and think of what a Braiden mix can be in 2025. I wanted to build this mix around a new track from my EP "X5x". Like the rest of the EP, I made the track whilst on a hiatus from DJing, making dancefloor music whilst being unconcerned about what it could mix into, or what DJs could play it. The mix here was like a reverse engineering of that process - thinking about what kind of world I could build in a DJ mix that could frame the atmosphere and rhythm of that track. I started DJing when I was 19, years before I started producing music. I was an obsessive about it, immediately thinking how I can blend individual tracks to build something new. I've always felt studio mixes were something important as a DJ, like the equivalent of an EP or album. It was a studio mix that started it all actually - as an unknown uploading a mix to the legendary Barefiles website in 2006. Shout out to Deapoh! Raindance EP on @offoutlabel is out this Friday - October 10th.

Something new to listen to. Raindance is the title track from my forthcoming EP - full release on digital and vinyl on my label Off Out, 10th October 2025. My first release in 8 years (!), this EP is the first in a line of releases showcasing the world I've been building in my studio in that time. It's 4 tracks, and my first release presented as a body of work. Something that flows together as a singular listen, reflecting a new set of inspirations and ideas from a new time. Yet still - I think - ties into the character of my previous productions. The full thing is out October 10th, but the title track's is available now for streaming at your usuals, as well as downloadable with a pre-order on bandcamp. 2012: Belfry Tower/Paganini - One more digital reissue before the single to my new EP Raindance gets dropped next week. Previously vinyl only, released on the great Dutch label Rush Hour, this was my second release after The Alps, the A-Side "Belfry Tower" taking some influence from a certain track by its remixer Kassem Mosse. Releasing on Rush Hour opened my music to a broader demographic of DJs and listeners. In 2025 I was watching a great set by British Murder Boys, engaged in a conversation with an extremely enthusiastic fan of theirs. When I mentioned that @tony_surgeon had played this track in a couple of his mixes, he called me his hero and shook my hand before heading off into the night. After finishing the track 2011, I had to deliver a B-Side. I took the A's chunky Linn Drum centric kit and went a more soulful approach echoing my long time interest in jazz with some live Rhodes playing and an Ella Fitzgerald cover acapella I found on youtube that had about 17 views at the time. I was later embroiled in a brief lawsuit dispute before she realised I didn't actually become as rich from this as she assumed. I'd also like to thank the recent effusive discogs review someone left of this track (13 years after its release). 2012's Belfry Tower/Paganini available for streaming for the first time, links in bio to listen. Something from the 2010 vaults before i announce my new EP Reverse Psychology was a track made the same year of my first single (and recently reissued) "The Alps”. It had a brief public airing before - on a mix I put together for the @maryannehobbs_ Radio 1 show, but now in 2025 with a fresh mixdown aided by @minor.science . There's a lot of electro influence here taken from my obsession with artists such as Arpanet and Luke Eargoggle, but with a bit of added rave ecstasy that creeps into some of my other productions on occasion. I used vocals which were taken from the arcade game “Wizard of Wor”, a dungeon shooter I used to play when I was about 8 years old on my C64.
