Still swooned by the swoonsome conjuring of Gershwin by this man’s piano last Thursday at the @liverpool_philharmonic . @frankdupree_official is officially a magician and Liverpool was under his spell. As I said to @rebshark , this was the most fun I’ve ever had in a concert hall.
Back for more Stratford. The Swan of Avon‘s bones. Hamnet‘s rowan tree, from an idea by @maggieofarrellofficial (the poor boy is buried somewhere in the churchyard, no one knows where). The Swan and its takeover by our ‘gangster spectacle’.

It’s been a joy working on this with adaptor / director @serdarbilis and producer @philip_arditti with stunning performances by @simonkunz1@indraove67@Mithras.malek and beautiful music by @kalialyraki I’m very lucky to be a part of two fantastic companies at the same time this April. Euripides is my jam. I studied him loads (never Shakespeare!). This is my third translation / adaptation of his work and I’m still learning from him. It’s on at @arcolatheatre till May 2nd. Rebecca and I plan to be there on the last night.
In the last few days some joy was had - Beckett at the Everyman, Hans Richter / Vivaldi at St George’s Hall, and my team got me Singin’ The Blues at Bramley Moore
