250 km of gravel roads, single trails, sand, mud, bumpy grass, narrow bridges, and even a river crossing in 2 days from Usedom to Berlin with my fearless little copilot Toni 🚴♀️💨💖
After Toni and I finished all the prep rides for #BUB26 with the incredible badasses at
@chicanebikeclub , I asked her if she wanted to join the event too. Her eyes lit up at the thought of the sea… and, of course, the snacks. So, another bike adventure it was - with my four-year-old sidekick ☺️
We approached it the way we always do: no big expectations, just grateful hearts for whatever the journey brings. Four days felt a bit too much, so we tackled half the distance, supported the checkpoint crew at CP II on Usedom, and joined our teammates from there. And just like that, we dove right in.
Two days later, fueled by endless snacks, songs, silly games, and laughter, we rolled across the finish line in Bernau right alongside our crew.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped keeping Toni entertained and happy throughout the ride; your love, patience and support mean the world. I’m so incredible happy that I get to experience all of this together with my daughter! I’m so proud of all of us 🥹
And thanks to everyone at
@steppenwolf030 for organizing the most inclusive and wholesome ultra gravel event - truly setting the best example and living up to their motto: Ein anderer Radsport ist möglich! ✊
