UK’s rising star, @wallacejimmygs makes his VanCity debut Saturday May 30th! Delighted to be collaborating with our friends @stepout.events on this one 😊🏠 Support from @max.ulis & @dj_legal 🔊 WALLACE offers a reminder of what club music can do in its simplest, most purely musical forms. His diverse, exploratory DJ sets present a neat parallel to his shape shifting journey as a producer. With releases on seminal labels such as Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section, Erol Alkan’s Phantasy, and other pioneering dance platforms, Wallace has quickly become one of the most exciting names in modern music. His finely-tuned productions quickly gained satellite support from the likes of Ryan Elliott, Avalon Emerson, Fumiya Tanaka and Marie Montexier. Wallace is also a regular at Berghain’s legendary Panorama Bar, turning heads recently with an 8-hour closing set! He’ll be on direct support, setting the table for @wallacejimmygs 🔥✨ Max has been instrumental in the building of Vancouver’s underground, his SLAB parties in Vancouver feature the best in underground House, Techno and contemporary Bass Music. In 2024 Max launched a new party series to feature House music alongside DJ dood. Max has curated for New Forms Festival, Bass Coast Festival, and Public Disco, and he has served as a mentor for many up and coming artists in Vancouver. Max’s diverse music productions have found a home on labels such as Turbo, Iile, Club Designs, Sloth Boogie and Thirty Year Recordings, and has seen support from notable performers such as Fred P, Ben Sims, Fumiya Tanaka, Prosumer, Laurent Garnier, Roman Flugel, Anz, Soul Clap, and Om Unit. DJ Legal has emerged as a talented selector that consistently delivers in Vancouver’s house music community, and we’re delighted to have her kick things off at Village Studios on May 30th. Known for her tasteful sets, she brings together groovy bass lines, warm vocals, and danceable house beats, all carefully selected from her passion for finding the perfect tracks. Since 2019, she has played at a wide variety of venues and events, including Platform9, The Well, Lumière, regional festivals, private parties, art shows, and at Bside Radio. @dj_legal is also a founding member of the @babesnbeatscollective : an organization dedicated to platforming and upskilling femme and non-binary DJs in Vancouver. ARTIST PROFILES FOR SEPT 6: 💠 The Mole 💠 ARTIST PROFILE: The Mole The Mole (@themoleok ), aka Colin de la Plante, has released five solo albums, 44 singles & EPs, and over 70 remixes. He has also numerous albums and singles in collaboration with others. His music is marked by a sound he calls - mole - which has been described as hypnotic, loopy, and sometimes psychedelic. He lives on Vancouver Island with his wife, two daughters, and a small dog. He can be heard Tuesdays on the local FM radio station 101.9 @cfuv . 💠 SLB 💠 ARTIST PROFILE: SLB 2025 marks 20 years since SLB @samuel.bird started DJing, collecting records, promoting and hosting some of the biggest names in electronic music. After moving to Squamish, BC in 2017, Sam continued to cultivate the scene, putting on raves and parties with his brand @swrv_events_ , then also a monthly show on @bsidedotradio with mursa_dj where they platform some of the many talented DJs and producers in the Sea to Sky. ARTIST PROFILES FOR SEPT 6: 💠 Chloé 💠 Chloé (@chlorpk ) has been frolicking around our city for a while and loves to mix variations of house: classic soul vocals, floating melodies, disco samples, hard hitters, progressive grooves, and a sprinkle of darkness in an arc that takes you higher and higher. She throws parties with @discothequeyvr and her favourite moments in life always involve bringing people together around curated music selection.
