I’m a little late in sharing this, but I’m so happy to share that From ____ to Brooklyn won a Webby in the Sports Series & Channels category! A huge accomplishment for the entire From ___ to Brooklyn team, and a testament to The Nets’ dedication and emphasis on authentic storytelling. Being able to tell the story of Vince Carter’s upbringing and career through the lens of his Nets tenure was a dream come true. Give it a watch if you haven’t yet!
The first time I saw a the Nets run a fast break in 2002, I knew basketball was it for me. Sitting five feet from Kenyon and hearing him talk about what that time meant to him was a real pinch-me moment. Huge thanks to @charliewiddoes for bringing me on to facilitate this conversation.
Taking a slight departure from the sports doc world to share a fun spot for Werther’s Originals from last year! Wore a few different hats on this full post job with my good friends at Eidocolor. Sound ⬆️ for some hilarious VO and sound design.

"Jason Kidd brought showtime to the Meadowlands."
To tell the story of Vince Carter coming to the Nets, we had to go back to the beginning of the Jason Kidd era. It was such a treat to try to recreate the magic of those '01-'04 teams that sparked my passion for basketball. I think this was the first or second sequence I cut for the doc because I was so excited.
Lets be Great Today.
The best part of the archival process was digitizing the 14 tapes Vince’s mom sent, and discovering just how much time he spent on the band field in high school. I’d always known Vince played music and was the drum major but had never actually seen or heard it at length. In reviewing the material, it quickly became clear just how much it meant to him, his family, and the entire community at Mainland. This is one of the earliest sequences I cut and is still one of my favorite excerpts from the doc.
It’s been eight months in the making, but I’m stoked to begin sharing excerpts from my latest project “From Daytona Beach to Brooklyn” - a chronicle of Vince Carter’s early life and career with a heightened focus on his time with the Nets - which I produced/directed and cut alongside the brilliant @brooklynnets production team and @charliewiddoes and @pozzonyc .
As a jersey kid, these last eight months were the most rewarding of my career. This was a passion project in the truest sense and I’m so very grateful to the team for putting their trust in me.
More to come soon.

Verizon Next Level: Scoring off a Corner feat. Chris Richards.
One of my favorite episodes I’ve cut over the past 3+ years of doing this with @conradgolovac_dp . Will post more soon!
