It's something that I've mulled over all year, and I feel that my time has come. So in July i decided i'm going to be stepping away from bike racing at the end of this season. Ongoing health issues and some other things has resulted in me losing my love of cycle racing and my desire to keep competing.

When i began at Palmer Park Velo in 2001 I never thought I'd achieve half the things that I have, and to look back at these makes me immensely proud. It wouldn't have been without countless individuals over the years (too many to thank everyone individually) and the people I've had the pleasure to have called my friends and team mates.

The biggest thanks go obviously my family, who have stayed behind me all the time. @kellyjasminereid for dealing with my obsessive emotional self. @customcyclecoaching for 12 years of coaching/support/trips to Spain. @ashtuck for my conditioning and @jakeharrisontherapies for looking after the pins, As well as all the guys at derby velodrome who have taken me in like one of the gang. I greatly appreciate everything you've all done for me.

I've left myself one more race on the calander. The Octoberfest 2 day at @lexusvelodrome on the 21st of October, and I'm excited to have one last crack at madison racing.

Thanks to all the teams who have given me an opportunity, to all the race organisers who have given me the chance to race be that on the six day circuit or any other race.

I don't know what's next for me but I'm excited to find out
