Stumbled on this photo of Audre Lorde rocking a Lucy from the Peanuts gang sweatshirt. No idea if it’s real, but I’m obsessed with the possibility.😍

This Saturday, April 11th, join me in conversation with Eric Von Haynes : artist, publisher, and one of the spokes at Love Fridge Chicago. We’ll talk about the difference between mutual aid, charity, and fundraising, why reciprocity matters, and how community fridges across Chicago are quietly helping people get the food and resources they need. Come hang for a thoughtful conversation about community care, dignity, and what it looks like when people show up for each other. 🗓 Saturday, April 11, 2026
🕑 2pm CST 📻 Listen live at 105.5 FM or stream at lumpenradio.com

31 days. 31 Black businesses. 31 stories that deserve to be heard. 🖤 I know how much we pour into our work. This August, noseyAF is making sure that work gets celebrated. I’m spotlighting 31 Black-owned businesses and having real conversations about what it took to build them — one story every single day. If you’ve built something you’re proud of, I want to talk about it. This is your spotlight. Applications close April 30. 🖤 👉🏾 Apply to be featured — link in bio.
This project was inspired by @denzellturner and his podcast @blackfridayspodcast , a Detroit-based podcast built for Black entrepreneurs ready to turn big ideas into real businesses. Make sure you check out his show! 🖤

Ep #100 🎙️ I met Deirdre soooo long ago at a @creative_capital Professional Development program for artists. They encouraged us to find accountability partners — preferably someone who lived nearby. At the time, we both lived downtown. We said “fine,” shook on it… and we’ve been accountability partners ever since. Checking in on each other’s art. Our business. Our ideas. Our discipline. Our next moves. I’ve had different accountability groups over the years, but Deirdre has been the longest and most consistent. A real one when it comes to building a sustainable creative life. So it felt especially meaningful to have her join me live on 105.5 FM at Lumpen Radio for this conversation. Chicago-based artist Deirdre Fox transforms discarded plastic consumer packaging into drawings, fiber works, and installations that function as visual poems on disposability, permanence, and environmental responsibility. We talk about mindfulness, material, abstraction, sustainability, and what it really means to commit to both your practice and the business of it. This one invites you to slow down and look closer. 🎬✨ Briana Clearly is coming to Lumpen TODAY!
@brianaclearly is a Chicago-based filmmaker, director, community curator, and founder of Filmmakers Mixtape, a 12-month program where participants make one film a month (which honestly gives me anxiety 😅).
She’s joining us to talk about her filmmaking practice, and since today is the deadline to apply for Filmmakers Mixtape, a project I am just in awe of, we are obviously getting into the weeds about it too! I mean, think about it... this time next year YOU could have made 12 films. 🤯
I’m in awe of the work Briana does and the way she pours back into this community. Don’t miss this one, come learn, get inspired, and maybe even change the trajectory of your creative journey. 🙌
🎙️ Tune in TODAY, Saturday, Feb 28th at 2 PM on 105.5 FM (Chicago) or stream live at LumpenRadio.com, we’ll see you there! 🎬✨

Afternoon with Yoko Ono. Came in curious, left obsessed. We became collaborators. Krysta locked in, ice cream after, weather showing off. Good day.
