Stephanie Lin (@stephalin ) is a Canadian designer and educator based in New York and Arizona, known for blending art and architecture through her studio, Present Forms (@presentforms ). For Coachella’s art program curated by Public Art Company(@publicartcompany ), she created Taffy—a striking installation composed of seven colorful, scalloped mesh towers ranging from 25 to 50 feet tall. Inspired by midcentury desert modernism and the fleeting beauty of desert blooms, Taffy plays with light, color, and movement to create a sensory-rich experience. The installation invites interaction with circular benches beneath its vibrant canopy, offering festivalgoers a dynamic space to rest, reflect, and connect with the surrounding landscape.
Excited to have been included in Pratt GA/LA/UD @pratt_galaud exhibition, Levers Long Enough to Move the World: Sketches in Contemporary Architecture, in great company with over 50 participants and curated by Andrew Holder @andrewjamesholder , with Faculty Co-Curators Alex Tahinos, Inmo Kang, and Fernando Garrido Carreras ✨
Excited to share that Taffy is coming soon to Palm Desert Civic Center Park ✨✨
The upcoming installation features five towers from the original Coachella artwork, highlighting Taffy’s cloud-like concept and adaptability.
All made possible through the amazing efforts of @publicartcompany@raffileh@paulc65@goldenvoice@erica.e.powell
