Hailing from Texas, Gi Gi has spent an extended stint here in Naarm, immersing himself in the local scene and embracing everything it has to offer. While his ethereal productions [found on Good Morning Tapes (AUS), Quiet Time (USA) & INDEX:Records (UK)] drift through down-tempo, ambient electronica and trip-hop—perfect for deep listening—expect him to turn things up energy-wise with a nuanced yet dancefloor-ready set tomorrow night…

Through her work as a collector, selector, activist and promoter, @katiepearson.dj is a true legend in the so-called australian electronic music scene. A ridiculously talented and versatile performer, Katie is a worthy mainstay of the deejay circuit, and pioneering force in the Naarm queer scene. Her infamous Outpost parties at the Gaso (RIP), have justifiably become the stuff of legend, and their blueprint and roots have become part of the foundation of the queer dance parties of today. Katie is a rare type of selector who can cater a scarily deep record collection to almost any context. From eye-watering full-tilt club fodder, to the campest muscular italo and HI-NRG, to outsider acid country to 90s hip hop and RnB… the list goes on. She’s the full package, and it’s this heady mix of razor-sharp DJ skills and a devilish sense of humour that make her one of our favourite selectors and people ever!

Straight off the back of her second @pitchmusicandarts appearance, we are stoked to have @mikalahwatego.music set the tone for Friday night 😎 Effortlessly blending textures of techno, bass, and electro, Mikalah has been carving out her signature sound! Originally hailing from Meanjin, we’re glad to welcome her as another recent addition to Naarm’s underground community. Having supported the likes of I Hate Models, KI/KI and Known Artist, and gaining traction on the Australian festival circuit, Mikalah Watego is not one to miss!

Known as the alias Ambien Baby, the pair join forces in a borderless zone where freewheeling experimentation is the aim of the game.
