Much like our previous collaborators, patience - and perhaps a side of Bavarian belief - has been key to Ilian Tape’s existence. As Munich’s darling and the brainchild of the Zenker Bothers, its slow-burn approach to developing allowed the label to age like a fine wine, becoming one of the most respected labels on the planet. With space to breathe, a new vibrant form of electronic music emerged; one centred around feelings, not genre, powered by an exhilarating sense of freedom. From UK-tinged techno to luscious breaks, a melting pot of genres can be found inside Ilian Tape’s discography, reflecting the ever-evolving minds of the Zenker Brothers themselves as they continue on their own journey of musical discovery. A masterclass in thumping low-ends, rugged textures, forward-thinking grooves and broken beats awaits.
