Sky’s the limit for @djshadow ’s new music video ‘Ozone Scraper’, directed by Stefano Ottaviano @stefffffffffo and shot in the stunning, cinematic foothills of Samarqand, Uzbekistan - with the assistance of DOP @andres_arochi
From dusty desert towns to the rugged roads of Uzbekistan’s serene mountain ranges’, we can’t help but be reminded of the grainy, de-saturated aesthetics of some of our favourite spaghetti westerns of the mid 60s and 70s, which may well have been a reference point as we follow the ‘heroes journey’ of a man who leaves his village on his father’s motorcycle, aiming to explore the land beyond the valley in the search for something greater.

“The children of Eve” find strength in their otherness, uniting and fighting against the white male patriarchy, using art as a vehicle for their protest. Social Distortion plays with the conventions of contemporary fashion films, pulling in imagery from the archives to add more weight to what it means to be a child of Eve in 2019.

Krumping found its feet when younger generations began to use the art form to peacefully express frustration and violence and escape gang culture. With knife crime in London at an all time high, the art form has journeyed over from the US to manifest itself in communities in the UK as a way for youth to express their raw emotions through art.
