I’m excited to share news about something very near and dear to my heart. For the last fifteen months, I’ve been working on a variety of ventures related to an expansive career retrospective which I’m calling ‘A Lifetime Of Vinyl Culture.’ This multi-faceted campaign will be rolling out over the course of 2026 and beyond, but the time has come to announce the VERY FIRST project under the retrospective banner: an eight-piece vinyl box set entitled ‘DJ Shadow- The Mo’ Wax Singles, 1993-1997.’
As I wrote in the press release, “This box wasn’t made for the casual listener, it was made with the hardcore fan in mind.” What is it? Where can you get it? Take an early look with the link in bio.
Last month, inside a large, shabby cardboard box marked "Living Room," I found a folder containing what amounts to the architectural plans for my 1996 debut album Endtroducing...track sheets, studio notes, you name it, it's all there. I'm embarrassed that I was negligent with these materials for so long, but grateful to have reclaimed them intact.
From the moment I started touring in the early '90s, I began saving ephemera from record stores. Here's a 45 bag from my first visit to the legendary Goldmine Records in Manchester, England, which yielded innumerable additions to my burgeoning collection.
For the first time EVER, I’m going to be playing a set focusing solely on my 1996 debut album. Honestly, I was ready to do it anyway, but the fact that Endtroducing is turning 30 years old this year made it a no-brainer. I’m genuinely excited to be putting this show together. With your permission: many of you may not be familiar with Kali Akuno, but in the early days of Solesides he acted as a friend and mentor to all of us. He believed in our talent and helped us organize, and attended most of our early shows. Always the adult in the room, Kali was poised and calm-headed in the face of our youthful impatience, preaching resilience and steady determination in our quest to achieve. Through it all, I never once saw him ask for anything in return.
Now, Kali is in need of some of that positive energy that he manifested throughout his life. I hope you'll consider joining me in making a small donation on his behalf. Thank you! 🙏🏻

Over the years, I've given away lots of unannounced freebies to crowds waiting in lines to see me perform- cassettes, t-shirts, even exclusive vinyl records. Here's a few examples of buttons/pinbacks we handed out at specific gigs...if you were there and received one of these, take a pic and share!
