With focus, attention to details, big gestures, tension and release something new come to life in @breblen last night. Kollee & Van Collenburg made its live debut in front of a lovely audience. Op woensdag 22 april brengen BOBO (8080) ft. Teis Semey en support Kollee & Van Collenburg een avond vol improvisatie, riffs en rauwe energie naar Brebl. BOBO is het jazzrock-beat-improproject van Daan Leever en Bouke Hofma, en verschijnt deze keer in een nieuw jasje met gitarist Teis Semey. Verwacht vrij geïmproviseerde beat-jazz met wervelende ritmes, spannende sounds en de rafelranden van jazz, punk en mathrock. De avond wordt geopend door Kollee & Van Collenburg, die hun Nijmeegse livedebuut maken met een volledig geïmproviseerde set vol avant-garde, elektronica en onvoorspelbare klanklandschappen. The word is out: Cinema Obscur is coming! This April 17 & 18 we - Oh Hazar - will tell the cinematic story of Clair Obscur live at Concordia Enschede. In this beautiful (film)theatre, we will merge music and cinema live on stage. And quite honestly: I can't wait to do it... In the meantime I'll be back on stage this Sunday with my dear dad at Café Cambrinus bringing some Tom Waits, John Lennon and B.B. King along with The Bluescure. So the party isn't over yet!

Een blik achter de schermen bij het eerste OUTPOST event: een creatieve samensmelting van muziek, visuals en spoken word waarbij twee continenten elkaar ontmoetten. Samen met lokale artiesten Michel van Collenburg (nobuka), Kerim Safa en Stefan Kollee werkte de Zuid-Afrikaanse band @dead_symbols twee dagen lang aan dit gezamenlijke experiment in @debasisnijmegen . Hun reactie is veelzeggend: “Our residency at De Basis was a truly phenomenal experience. Not only was the guesthouse comfortable and thoughtfully designed, but being surrounded by studios and practice rooms was an inspiring context through which to experience Nijmegen for the first time. These positive attributes were only matched by the care and generosity expressed by our hosts: Michel, Stefan, and Kerim. The live collaborative sessions and recordings conducted over our two-day stay reached a fever pitch of sonic exploration that will stick with us for a long time to come.” Met recht een zeer memorabele kickoff van ons nieuwe collectief.
