A few years ago, I would’ve said I manifested this. Today, I know I worked my ass off for it. 🦋 I’ve been an @lsdream fan since day one, I was there for the first Lightcode sets, even before they were called Lightcode. I was at the very first Dream Rocks as a GA attendee, standing beside my mentor @vjkobra and my partner in crime @sacredsnow.globe , just soaking it all in. Then I saw so many butterfly visuals at LSZEE red rocks last year which had me dreaming of what might be possible if I kept working hard. So now… here we are. Getting the opportunity to showcase my live visual art for Cam Steens Set at Dreamrocks 2026. 🦋🤩🫶🏻🔆☺️ This full-circle moment feels surreal. I’m beyond grateful to @cam_steen for trusting me with this chance, it’s truly a blessing. Thanks to @rafeeki_music for connecting us and aligning this opportunity for me. Lastly, I pray for minimal sun on the LEDs ✨✨ My first time doing visuals at Red Rocks Amphitheater was two years ago, and I made a promise to myself~ I wouldn’t come back until I had grown,until I had the knowledge, the experience, and the confidence to stand in that front of house without shaky hands. I believe I’ve come a long way since then. It was crazy to get an offer for the only Red Rocks show I dreamed of being part of this year😭🫶🏻 I’m so honored, and excited to be opening the legendary Red Rocks stage with Cam and the rest of his crew on May 16. One of my video art professors in college once told me you don’t need really to add effects if your content is original with a point of view and that has stuck with me for my entire VJ career. 2 weeks ago I traveled over 3,500 miles to Iceland to capture more visual footage, my mission is to show you all the beauty of the Earth around you. See everything. Go farther than you planned. Widen your view of the world. Listen to every perspective~ even the ones that unsettle you, Especially the ones that make you grow. Hold the people you love a little closer. Stay a little longer in the laughter. Take the long road when you can. Watch the sunrise and the sunset like it might be the last one you ever get to see. Because life is fragile, beautiful, and wildly uncertain. It’s a series of departures and arrivals we can never control. All we have control of is how we treat others+ the environment around us, and how we react to situations. Sometimes your favorite artist retires before you’re ready to let them go, or your best friend leaves this world far sooner than they ever should. But these aren’t our endings. Things only truly die when we stop living for them. So be kind. Be curious. Be present. See as much as you can. And laugh~ not because nothing matters, but because everything does, and bc none of us really know what’s going on. Happy earth day~ wander on 🦋🦋

VJing in Vail for @lpgiobbi last weekend is already my highlight of the year. I was so stoked to have the opportunity to meet and chat with LP after her set which i rarely get the chance to do when I’m house VJing☺️ She is so full of light and energy and was incredibly encouraging to me. One of my favorite sets I’ve ever done thank you to Mountain Side Production for making this dream come true 💕🦋🫶🏻 One thing LP she told me Saturday night really stuck with me ~ I was actually the first female VJ she had ever met. That honestly surprised me and made me reflect on how few of us there still are in this space. Lately I started offering VJ lessons again to another woman @amystaaa , and it reminded me that helping other women grow and find their place in this industry brings me much more fulfillment than all of my biggest gigs combined. There is something really powerful about women sharing knowledge, supporting each other, and making sure no one feels like they have to figure it out alone. I’ve had quite a few men in the scene refuse to teach me timecode or other skills I still lack and tell me it’s because they are scared I will take their job. I don’t believe in gatekeeping like that I think it’s a toxic and it shows they are only in this for themselves. I would love to see more women in FOH overall ~Running visuals, sound, lights, lasers, etc. The way we change this industry is by lifting each other up and opening doors for the next one coming in. Supporting and teaching other women is not competition ~ it is community. 🦋🫶🏻 (I was the house VJ for this set so A lot of the visuals used were not mine. I wish I could credit who made them but I’m still unsure🫶🏻 lmk if you recognize them)

Getting randomly paired to create planetarium visuals for their set in Boulder last year felt surreal, one of those moments that reminds you exactly why you started creating. I started making visuals as an escape when my feelings felt too heavy to carry, and somewhere along the way it became how I process life. It’s surprising to me how this community continues to provide me connections with artists that who would still be creating for themselves even if social media disappeared tomorrow. Getting to collaborate with artists like Entangled Mind brings me so much joy and I am thrilled to see where this collaboration may lead 🦋 - Stef
