Rest in Peace Mr. DeNero aka Tha Family Guy
In October of 2009 I was hired to film a Chalie Boy show at a random club in San Antonio. At the show, a hip hop duo opened up who had really impressed me. After they stepped off stage I went over to introduce myself and tell them I liked the show. Within minutes of talking, I knew they would be my brothers for life. We were drawn together like a magnet. Fast forward to 2010, I graduated high school and DeNero offered me a bedroom and studio in their warehouse in exchange for music videos and brotherhood. DeNero gave me the space and confidence to dream, and the opportunity to live rent free while I was figuring out how to make a career with my camera. For three to four years I lived with DeNero and Nilo, just about up til I moved to New York in 2015. These were the most transformative years of my life and DeNero is the man I have to thank for all of it. Thanks DeNero and Nilo for infinite memories, all the dinners with the fam, all the laughs, and for giving me the confidence to dream.
Though DeNero and Nilo are not pictured, the last photo in the carousel is from the night I met DeNero and my life trajectory was changed forever. I love you bro.
