When a child learns to read, they gain knowledge. When a child learns to tell their story, they gain power.
What began as a conversation about literacy, youth empowerment, and community impact became something truly special through the collaboration between the St. Brown Foundation, Tell Your Story Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Detroit.
Together, we created an experience centered around more than books. It was about helping young people discover their voice, build confidence, and see the power within their own story.
From months of conversations, planning, and shared vision, this partnership was built on one belief: when organizations come together with purpose, real impact happens.
Thank you to every student, volunteer, educator, partner, and supporter who helped make this day meaningful. This is only the beginning.

As a part of his back-to-school community series to support students at Durfee Elementary-Middle School, the @detroitlionsnfl WR donated hundreds of school supplies and hosted an event for students facing life-altering challenges. Through his @stbrownfoundation , students enjoyed a special dinner and had the opportunity to twin with St. Brown with matching blue hairstyles 💙
