The core team is currently comprised of @MaxxTuring , the full-time solo founder, who (like any early-stage founder) leads on business development, operations and any activity that moves the business forward...he can even sometimes be found in the code 👨💻 fixing a bug 🐛 or deploying a small feature ✨ every now and then.
Engineering is led by Justen (who is much better at software engineering than Maxx... 😅). Justen worked as a part-time contractor to build upon the initial Alpha app (built Jul 2020 - Feb 2021) and develop the Beta app (built Jan 2022 - Jun 2022). Since the launch of the Beta app, Justen has continued to provide adhoc development support when needed.
With the new and improved Beta app finalised, Ama joins us in a part-time commission-based sales role to help us navigate our future plans as we turn our focus outwards 👀 ...towards expansion and onboarding more clients! 🚀

Our Founder @MaxxTuring created @StartbookApp after working for several years as a startup operations lead and experiencing the fast-paced environment at different entrepreneurial organisations including 🗝️ Entrepreneur First, 🚆 The HackTrain, 🐅 The Family and ➕ The NEF Programme.
Maxx went full-time on the business in October 2020 after being awarded the NEF+ Programme's 🏅 CEO's Award by Neeta Patel CBE and a £20,000 🏆 CVC Young Innovator Award.
In order to sustainably fund growth and make up for the expected limited initial SaaS revenue, the business began by offering services, taking on clients such as 🔸 The Centre for Entrepreneurs, ⬡ CyLon and 🔳 TownSq Islington, as opposed to raising capital or other sources of finance.
As we enter 2023, the business continues to go from strength to strength with new clients onboarding such as 🦅 Barclays Rise and ↪️ Capital Enterprise, with more in the growing sales pipeline.
As a solo founder, Maxx has built the business up to a six-figure turnover, supported by a talented team of part-time contractors who have helped make Startbook into what it is today.
