Let me take a break from posting my products' photos for something that definitely changed my life forever: my winning bid from Heritage Auctions. The circle is closed. It started as an hobby 15 years ago, with my first "serious" helmet made for my Shinken Red cosplay, made in paper, glue and putty. This was the beginning of my entire journey into cosplaying and, later, Prop Making. That "orribile" helmet, that I still love from the bottom of my heart and made with the help of my dad, brought me where I am now. From there I've grown-up, improved my skills, created my business as Starchild Props and made what you see regularly in my page. And, in the end of my journey, brought me to have the original screen used costume. And this is insane guys. It's something that still makes me crazy. Obviously I couldn't resist to wear the costume for a couple of shoots, and miraculously, fitted me perfectly. From the entire auction, I wanted only this costume, nothing else. Because Shinken Red symbolises my life. Literally. And I would never leave this costume to anyone else. Plus, we're discovering that almost the entire costume has been used both in Samurai Sentai Shinkengers and Power Rangers Samurai. I own what I have now to that Shinken Red paper helmet (that you can see in the last photo). Don't let anyone tell you that something is impossible. I couldn't resist to make my interpretation, pairing it with my Death Ranger helmet. Base is the same, to make both the helmets really twins from the same obscure power. Mouth piece is designed (as always) by my talented pal @smakeit_ ! Hope you like it as I do! And... maybe in the next days... I'll be able to show you the rest of the costume. 👀 Yes. We did it.

DEATH RANGER are here for you! We can finally reveal our DEATH RANGER helmet! With an incredible HQ work of craftsmanship merged with the best 3D sculpting techniques, this helmet is the best representation ever of this incredible design, appeared on @boom_studios Power Rangers comics. Casted in resin, painted with automotive products. The entire point of the finiture of this helmet has been to give a realistic appearance to it, through the realistic sculpting work of the skull mouth (made by @smakeit_ ), the weathering (used to give it a sort of battle background) and the contrast between glossy and matte parts. Finally, some days ago, I did some shoots with my custom Red Ranger suit with Dragon Dagger and Shield. This is one of my most cherished suits! Helmet is a masterpiece made with 3D scans of the screen used one, the Dragon Dagger is the twin of the one I made years ago for JDF himself, that he used for his lives, so I'm so emotionally affectionate to it.
