For over 10 years I've happily been sending my designs to the USA without any problems.
Unfortunately, this has changed in the past month. Due to new trade regulations introduced by President Trump, all goods from abroad shipped into the United States are now subject to additional import duties. These fees affect all U.S. customers, they are not shipping costs from me, but are charged by the U.S. government and collected by UPS/DHL on behalf of customs at the time of delivery.
This situation not only causes delays during customs clearance, but also means that UPS/DHL can only complete delivery if the customs fees are paid directly by the recipient. If payment isn't made after three delivery attempts, the parcel will either be returned to me at very high cost or even destroyed.
As a single artist, this has been incredibly frustrating, I've already lost some designs that took me many hours of work and dedication, and on top of that I had to cover additional costs.
At the moment, Etsy unfortunately doesn't offer a way to show or include these import fees during checkout. If you're ordering from the USA: Please be aware that UPS will collect customs fees at delivery, these go directly to the U.S. government, not to me. Keep an eye on your tracking, and try to make an effort for delivery or contact UPS early to arrange a delivery time when you'll be available, to make sure your parcel can be successfully delivered.
To avoid misunderstandings, from now on I'll send a detailed message via Etsy with every U.S. order.
Please keep an eye on your Etsy inbox and confirm this message before I ship your parcel, so I know you're fully aware of the situation and agree with it.

Sono diversi anni che esponiamo le nostre creazioni handmade nei mercatini e artist alley - dalle carte in legno incise laser ai cosplay prop modellati e stampati in 3D, accessori Nerd passando per custom di ogni tipo!
E dopo tutto questo tempo siamo genuinamente curiosi: cosa vi fa girare i tacchi e passare oltre senza nemmeno dare un’occhiata? 👀
