If you want super dirty clanky bass tones…..do a couple things.
1. Use a @darkglasselectronics B7K Ultra
2. Run that bad boy into a @ampeg V4B
3. Process it with the amazing @standard.audio Stretch
4. Compress it even more with an Opto comp
After all of that I use my incredible @apogeedigital Symphony IO MKII SE into Cubase.
