I recently found a black-owned and operated nail salon near my house. Even though I haven’t had my nails done in over a year and hadn’t planned on getting them done again, I had to stop in just to see. I am so glad that I did! @candydropnailshop is a full service nail salon that accepts walk-ins and appointments. This was the first sign that I was in the right place. I walked in. I was greeted by Randi, who would end up being the artist that did my nails. Randi was very kind and answered all of my questions even though she was with a client. I decided to come back after work to get my nails done. Randi assessed my nails and because they were so healthy and I have naturally long nail beds, she suggested I try builder gel. I did my research before I came back and decided that that made the most sense. Randi even rearranged her schedule so that she could fit me in as her last client that day.
