My driving question for this book: If possession is the surrendering of self, then what does it take to return to the body? If we have been dismembered by history, what does it mean to be re-membered?
Wells Without Water is about what happens when faith fractures, when memory refuses to stay buried, when something ancient whispers through the cracks of the empires built upon it. The result is not horror for spectacle, but a reckoning on the page.
