There’s a week until applications for FELTlive 2025 close and we’re reminiscing on last year. FELTlive 2024 was an incredible night. 6 performances took place over the evening. Adam & Steve - ‘Shivering Blankets’, an endurance work that shimmered and mesmerised. @adamsteveadamsteve Stephen Atkinson - ‘72 Revolutions’, an incessantly loud and mystical work. @stacko0 Hen Vaughan - ‘Marginalia’, a quiet piece that meditated on the idea of the bionic body. @flaneuxe Jingwei Bu - ‘The Bouncing Piece’, a mysterious and unpredictable work. @jingwei_bu Alycia Bennett - ‘Doom Scroll’, a loud and playful commentary on late stage capitalism. @alyciabennettart Andrea Illes - ‘not yet ripe’, a physical work that enthralled and affected the audience. @_purple_stars_expleting_ Applications close November 4th. We urge you to apply with ideas small and large. Think outside the box. Apply now. Thank you Bryce Cawte for the Welcome to Country and Christopher Arblaster for these photos. @yourboi_bryce @christopherarblaster Thank you Queens Theatre. @thequeensadelaide

Very proud to share with you the recent project I have been working on. It all began with an excited phone call from my mother, telling me she would be one of the curators of this years @heysensculpturebiennial taking place @heysen_the_cedars The months following, would have me slowing work on the graphics and design and art direction for this exhibition, which you see above. Over the last 2 weeks I have been in my home town of Adelaide, photographing the amazing artworks, creating my own versions of Heysens paintings and showing the artworks in a way that I think he would have done. Ever since I learnt about Sir Hans Heysen as a kid(with thanks to my mum), I have been captivated by the way he handles light. His paintings were a big part of my visual education, and I have taken a lot away from studying his approach. Sir Hans Heysen (1877–1968) was a German-born Australian artist renowned for his luminous watercolors of the Australian landscape, particularly his majestic gum trees. A dedicated conservationist, he advocated for the preservation of native forests and sought to capture the natural beauty of the land in his art. His legacy endures through his paintings and the protection of areas he helped conserve, such as the Heysen Trail in South Australia. This wouldn’t have been possible with our our amazing sponsors 🙏🏼 @hahndorfacademy @beerenbergfarm @mtbarkercourier @artssouthaus @orbis_wines @hahndorfhillwinery @prancingponybrewery @s28cheeses @strathalbynmitre10
