I realized while creating these designs for @polocorpinc ‘s VIVA Townhomes that I really enjoy working with tall, narrow layouts. These are not dimensions I typically get to work with! Each panel represents its own theme: Nature, Nightlife, and Neighbourhood, as well as a patterned panel for the VIVA marketing. I wanted the scenes to be full of detail, each reflecting a different season and time of day. ‘Nature’ is a spring morning overlooking the Iron Horse Trail. ‘Nightlife’ is a summer evening on a patio full of people, and ‘Neighbourhood’ is an autumn sunset on a residential street. An additional touch is the yellow butterfly, which was added to each scene.

I find it hard to make the time to share my work on here. There are so many projects of mine that I haven’t gotten around to posting. I completed this one for @polocorpinc ‘s VIVA Townhomes in October 2022. The construction had just started, and these panels hinted at what was to come. With the development being close to Downtown Kitchener, as well as the Iron Horse Trail, they wanted the artwork to reflect the themes of nature, nightlife, and neighbourhood. VIVA Townhomes is now complete, and cropped versions of these panels are displayed on site, as you can see in my previous post. I’m thrilled that they kept them as part of the development!! *These panels were printed and installed by the team at @cobersolutions

Art that belongs to the building. And the people in it. 🎨 Local KW artist @sstephaniesscott was commissioned to bring her vision of nature, nightlife, and neighbourhood life to VIVA Towns. That work is now permanently part of the community she helped imagine. We brought her back to talk about it. See her art on our website, and in-person when you book a tour! I live fairly close to Richmond Hill, yet admittedly I didn’t know much about it until I started researching for this project. There are so many interesting things about this city, like how it is home to Canada’s largest telescope, or how it was once the Rose Capital of Canada. I especially appreciate the city’s respect for the Jefferson Salamander, and the efforts they take to close certain roads during their migration.

In the autumn of 2024 I created this mural design for a delivery station in Richmond Hill, Ontario. It combines certain attractions that make the city unique, such as the David Dunlap Observatory, the Richmond Green Skate Trail, their parks and urban forest, and their history of rose growing. I created the design digitally and worked with @fastsigns667 for the printing and installation.

Stephanie in Connulariid Ring | In a sewing project | Swipe to view  " Whenever I get a spare moment I typically fill it with a sewing project. Making my own clothing is an outlet for ideas I don’t often explore in other parts of my life.  There is no pressure of external expectations; it is solely for me. The process can be challenging, but when it all comes together I get the reward of being able to wear my own unique creation. Stephanie in Sea Lily Ring | At her library | Swipe to view  " Interacting with these rings gives me a sense of wonder, as if I’m being transported to a different time and place. I used this as inspiration for these photos, showing them as part of my own little world. There are certain activities I engage with when I feel the need to step away from my daily responsibilities. One of which is getting lost in my book collection.  I reach for my books when looking for creative inspiration, but also as a way to unwind and let my mind wander. I can marvel at them for hours. No matter how often I flip through them there is always something new. " Tags : Stephanie Scott @sstephaniesscott in Sea Lily Ring by @fatherland_india

Canada based artist Stephanie Scott & I connected over a common passion, fragrances. I remember the point of origin, our common admiration for Mendittorosa. Soon we delved into each other's works. I found Stephanie's art to be meticulous, detailed, skillful & that which requires extensive work hours. A very recent accolade she bagged, the Silver Award at Graphis, is a small reflection of that. Over a course of time, our association led to a beautiful outcrop, a series of her portraits. The portraits are her artistic interpretations of some amulets, rings of fossil sculptures, I created sometime back. Wearing them at various moments of her work, she brings an ethos of versatility. Some images also reminisce the point of origin of our connect, fragrances. In an episode of her portraitures series, here in these images she wears my Bezoar Ring, shrouded in Mendittorosa's Le Mat. The FINAL poster in the @atomic.vc series for their office on the @lucasfilm campus in San Francisco. Each design represents one of the companies which Atomic has helped to launch, and does so in the style of a fictional film poster. @homebound was started in 2017 after the Napa wildfires, as a better way to build and rebuild homes. I based their poster design on mid-1960s westerns, with their cofounder and CEO leading a group of people on horseback. The foreground depicts a small town in the desert, with a new house in the process of being built. The typography of the title mimics the shape of the wood planks used to build these houses.

Some process of my final poster in the @atomic.vc series. This was the most challenging one to get through, taking many weeks of work to complete. I didn’t document much, because I was just so focused on finishing it!
