I REALLY REALLY LOVED this show, far more than I ever anticipated I would. It’s such an amazing escape from the s$&!storm that is our current world, with rip-roaring vocals, catchy and memorable songs, a killer band, beautiful, quirky performances, astonishing lighting; and a lovely surprising heartwarming storyline that reminded me of what really matters, and what’s possible. Really really loved catching up with old (and new) friends too, even those I took selfies with in landscape so I can’t include them in this post (that means you @sarahburstock and Kendrick. Go see this. @sigtheatre

Get to this terrific play before it closes April 5. Even more timely than the (also excellent and eerily prescient) production I saw at @mosaictheaterdc in Dec. 2019, @theaterjdc ’s production is hilarious, heartbreaking, hopeful, cautionary and infuriating in equal measure.
