Small islands in contrasting colours emerge from the mist as if from hidden depths. The material, fine wool and shiny Tencel, brings out the elegance of the graceful composition. Revelling in blue. The finest wool and sustainable, shimmering fibres made from TENCEL™ Lyocell reflect the azure glow of ancient cities flooded with light. — Wherever Sarinya Limthongtip lets her creative energy flow, the sun rises. The graphic and textile designer of Thai-Chinese descent grew up in Bangkok’s historic centre and has transformed the light, culture and vitality of her homeland into an emotional design full of visual vitality, telling original stories. After studying at Bangkok University and Chelsea College of Arts in London, she has run the Srinlim Design Studio in Bangkok since 2009. Re-formation | three Re-formation explores a personal system of pattern-making through the act of recording shadows—formed by the interplay between light and object—as they fall onto a constructed surface. The surface is created through interwoven materials, generating a spatial structure that moves beyond a single plane. Once formed, this structure is deconstructed and reassembled according to various hypothetical arrangements. The resulting compositions explore the relationships between presence and absence—across elements, structures, surfaces, and layers—ultimately giving rise to new visual forms.
