Srger makes paintings that feel like they happened — not planned, not resolved, but caught mid-thought. His gestural marks carry the energy of the street without the noise, and his colour fields hold a kind of quiet intensity that is hard to pin down. There is something genuinely free in his work, and that freedom is contagious.

Srger (born 1983 in Seville, Spain) is a painter and visual artist living and working in Madrid. Rooted in a background of graffiti and urban art, his practice has evolved into a language of gestural abstraction shaped as much by public space as by the studio. He finds his material in the streets: accidental marks, textures, traces of paint left behind.
His paintings are built on intuition and improvisation — fields of colour, calligraphic lines, and gestural marks that hover between control and release. Imperfection is not incidental to his work; it is the point.
Srger has exhibited at Herrero de Tejada, Swinton Gallery, and LA BIBI Gallery, and was presented at Art Rotterdam 2025. His work is held in collections across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
Yesterday marked the opening of “M-COLLECTION,” a group exhibition by @murals_inc in Rotterdam (NL).
