I was trying to think of how to open up this post, and the word that just kept popping up was "Grateful!" I know, it might not be your traditional word to kick off a new rebrand, but here we are! This is Sweet August's 3rd rebrand! Can you believe it? We’ve been in business long enough to refresh our brand and our logo 3 times! 2026 has been so good to us, and we’re filled with excitement for the next 5, 10, and 15 years (y'all, I can't think past that because that would make me 60...lol!). Now, let’s dive deeper into this rebrand! My whole life, I’ve been so "feely," "emotional," "a lot," "passionate," "intense"—and that might surprise many of you, but it’s just me! When we decided to rebrand this time, I knew I wanted to bring in my sweet lifelong friend Lisa. We grew up playing soccer together, and I’m sure that’s all we thought we were capable of back then! Lisa has become someone I admire and respect more than she probably knows. I wanted the rebrand to feel sophisticated but also bring in color, which isn’t really my style. Then we roped in Kat Carey with
@darkroomfoto because she knows us so deeply and personally! And of course, Chris, from
@squintedcinema , wanted to get behind it too! The rebrand wasn’t super thought out; it wasn’t a long, drawn-out process. Now rolling it out is quite the journey! I tend to overthink everything. I wanted this to be perfect for our team, Zoey and Janell, and for everyone involved. But the reality is, none of that matters! I’m so grateful to be in a position to present something FRESH! My last few seasons have been rough, and there were many nights I woke up asking myself, "Is it time to throw in the towel?" But y'all, here we are with a new rebrand and a new season, and all I can do is be grateful! I’m sure the new logo will transition slowly since we don’t have a marketing manager and do everything internally, but that’s totally okay! We are Event Planners first and just ask that everyone rides this ride with us!
