We whipped up this Canti SO-EZ for our buddy @gabe2wheels who’s been transferring his MTB skills to Tracklocross the last couple years and it’s been really fun to watch. Does Gabe really need a brake? Only to do stoppies 😈 A nice red to orange fade, our usual mostly-US-made component spec, and this thing is ready to push the limits of fixed gear on singletrack up in the foothills!

“What is HV?” This question has plagued us ever since we named our shop Hours Vary. We get it, too subtle, that’s on us. Anyway, 10 years of Hours Vary has been a helluva ride and we’re celebrating with a party this Saturday (at HV) and a commemorative T-shirt that will continue the time-honored tradition of requiring explanation. Shred To Ed’s - it’s our Monday night shop ride and everyone’s invited! You can leave from our shop or meet under the J st bridge, then we roll a mix of bike path and dirt trails along the American River until we reach Midtown, pop into Ed’s for supplies, then hang out on the river until the cows come home. All bikes and bodies are welcome (yes, it can be done on a road bike if you’re into that sort of thing)! If you get lucky you might get to see @belowtreeline crash while taking photos and then get a shot of your reaction. #shredtoeds
This TARCKWONDO got a 2-color marble treatment with @spray.bike Gold Metal Platings and Memphis dabbed over a Blackfriars base, Whitechapel logos and some Keirin sparkle over the top, plus that purple @whiteind headset balancing things out. Our road-geo fixed gear (in case you’re too young for the tarck reference) is made here in Sacramento from 6061 aluminum, and it clears a 33 in the rear. Ready for wherever you want to skid!

Ten years ago we had only been a bike company for less than 2 years and quickly outgrown our garages - it was time for a shop. A vacant hair salon became our new HQ, or HV for Hours Vary as we decided to call it. We hired @goopmassta to paint a mural, built the Wall-O-Spraybike cans, and slowly added shipping containers to the back lot. A decade of painting, parties, and wrenching later, and we’re still here making bikes the way we want to!
