We are entering bridal shower season…but instead of just picking junk off of a registry list, why not buy the young lovers in your life “Among the Lilies”? It is rooted in scripture and boasts marriage advice from a myriad of wise voices. In this linocut by @marsch_studios the Man and Woman unite in a passionate kiss, perfectly fitting into each other. This comes as no surprise for “man is designed for woman and woman is designed for man. We go together. Our bodies literally fit together, summoning us to the ascent of love and enabling us to be a life-giving ‘gift’ to one another. John Paul II calls this incarnate discovery of the divine plan of love the ‘spousal meaning of the body.’”

“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come . . . [and] the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.”
Congratulations to @uitemalcolm3774 and @stephencrotts on their new book, “Galahad and the Grail” (from @therabbitroom )! But you know this isn’t their first collaboration? Before they had even met, Stephen Crotts made this artwork to accompany Malcolm‘s essay on glorifying God through smoking pipes, in our book “Ordinary Saints.”
The groom praises his bride in a wasf (a genre in ancient Arabic poetry): “Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle, that graze among the lilies.”

“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!”
