202FIVE You were Sublime! This year, it was my goal was to endeavour on an art show portfolio build 🤺 and I’m so proud of myself for achieving this goal! ✨ From two artist residencies, curating five exhibitions and organising four of my own (including my first solo!), it’s been a real test of perseverance and resilience. (VENTspace Showcase, Goob 2.0, Alice, Spot Willows’ Show & Tell and The Sublime!!🌸) I independently run my ARI ‘Art Show Factory’, which has been my playground for testing and growing my skills in creating art exhibitions. Every penny I’ve scavenged has gone into this and I’ve exercised my mental endurance greatly to make it work. This investment is a blessing and a curse, and a hard reality check on what it’s really like to independently start a small business without a team and financial backing. My favourite word: ADAPT, has helped me get through it and this year has been proof that you can really make anything happen with passion, support & hard work ✨🫧 A ginormasorous 🦕thank you to Bronte ( @muntz.ed )and Maria ( @laluzmira ) for your close help and support, and thank you to the VENTspace team, House Conspiracy team and the volunteers who have been part of this journey. I have so much love for this art community and am so grateful for the foundations here that help myself and fellow artists blossom! 💐 Aaaa, what a beautiful future ahead for our community! 🎆 There’s a couple of shows in the works now, but it’s time to relax for a little 🪴🧘‍♀️hummmmm….. hummmm……. 🌬️🪷 When I’m ready to pounce again, my 2026 goals are to find a groovy and hardworking art job, reenergise my artistic brain and to have fun in other various creative activities! I’m thinking dance, comedy, sport and/or music. Or maybe I’ll become a Disney princess like I wanted to as a kid. Hmmmm, there’s so many cool things to try in this life so we shall see! This June I’m pledging 💕PINK💕 for the National Breast Cancer foundation. My goal is to raise $1,000 to strengthen the opportunities for more remedies, healing and survival for future and previously diagnosed queens of resilience. Once the donations have been raised, I will dye my hair pink to celebrate this contribution! 👩‍🎤 Every day 56 Australians are diagnosed with BC and 2.3 MILLION people are diagnosed worldwide EVERY YEAR. Every damn year… (Did you know that men can also get breast cancer?!) While myself or my family hasn’t been diagnosed with BC, I’ve recently experienced a feminine health scare myself. This experience has aged me and opened my eyes to the greater traumas that other women go through. I wouldn’t be feeling resilient right now if it wasn’t for the support of my friends and family. 𝒟𝑜𝓁𝓁𝓈 𝑜𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝐹𝒶𝓇𝓂 🌾🌷💞 This is a zine I made digitally and reformatted (for Instagram) in 2025! I made it because I love looking at pictures of weird dolls on the internet, lived on a farm once, and I wanted to give poetry a go 🌸🌟 This Saturday at the Megaherzzz event, we will embrace the DIY attitude and snip, chop, slap our zines together to make a classic 8-pager! We will focus on worldbuilding, storytelling and creating atmosphere to share your point-of-view. Zines are epic and are a powerful self-publishing tool for sharing your magic and thoughts 💭 How we’ll build your zine at the workshop: Step 1: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜. Choose one thing you love. (An object, food, a person, your passion, a feeling, a movement) Step 2: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙. Place your thing somewhere. It can be a place or a time period. (home, the 70s, space, the ocean, the forest, the void) Step 3 (Optional): 𝙏𝙚𝙭𝙩. Add words if you want! (poetry, quotes, lists, secrets — or none at all) My example above = Doll + Farm + Poetry! We will provide punk, riot, ethereal, dreamscape, feminine + doll imagery at the workshop to inspire your creation. You can also draw your own assets! ✍️ In the meantime, have a think of what you’d like your zine to be about. They can be absolutely anything! Hi angelbabies! ⋆‧°𓏲ּ𝄢 I’m thrilled to be hosting a Zine making workshop for 4ZZZ Megaherzzz 50th anniversary. Make some unique zines with moi to celebrate 🎀🎻˙⋆✮ Megaherzzz is 4ZZZ’s iconic feminist radio show, broadcasting news, hot takes, interviews and femme-led music for 50 years. Highlighting marginalised communities, they are caring, brilliant and BADASS! 💥♀️ The Zine workshop will have all materials supplied, a step-by-step guide and cool cutouts to get creative with. Grab a drinky and have fun! Spot Willows (b. 2002) is a curious and whimsical creative currently residing in Magandjin, Brisbane. Outside of curating and organising the Sublime Exhibition, she is an interdisciplinary artist and recent graduate from QCAD, Griffith University. She has exhibited her art in over eighteen group exhibitions, including the Perth of Centre Photography Awards in 2022, the QCAD Griffith Graduation show in 2024, and her debut solo exhibition which took place in November 2025. She is the primary force and creator of the upcoming ARI, Art Show Factory, which is dedicated to uplifting emerging artists and experimenting with theme-focused curation. From grass-root and institutional sectors, the youthful Miss W is a well-rounded upcoming creative with a unique point-of-view and electric career ahead. Walking my Creature Sculpture through West End!💋 keeping it weird, always. Here’s a short compilation of the trek. Thank u @soggybreadissad for filming & for your support 🖤 From VENTspace to House Conspiracy - My creature needed to be transported to the new venue! So I thought, hey! why not turn this into something performative AND promotional 🌟💫 Ok, so this thing deffiiiinetly doesn’t like to go outside. Two wheels feel off and the plaster shook off the body on uneven grounds. So, we had to carry her for some of the way. The walk is 800m in total. I’m now restitching her body together and adding some new parts 🪄 💭I honestly expected more people to come up and question what was going on. In total, only x2 strangers inquired. Both men, who were ‘intrigued’ by the artwork (one of them was actually very nice and enjoys art). The other one, I could tell in his eyes and his quick glances up & down my body that he wasn’t asking out of interest in the art. Along the way as well, someone catcalled me! He walked past us with his mate as they both stared at me, before making a remark about my body & outfit. I feel this is a regular day as a woman, (especially while wearing something a bit out of the ordinary) but while walking a massive sculpture?! How did I, ME get more attention than a crumbling horse-like figure that has my face and naked breasts on it? In hindsight I wish I wore a different outfit. In my head, I thought I was dressing crazy, not sexy. I will never ever be able to wrap my head around it but it’s the world we live in I guess! While I thought that observation was odd - another thing I reflect on was seeing the sculpture outside in the world for the first time. 🌏 It’s confronting to walk your artwork down the street and invite it into the landscape/world of the everyday. With the natural light, cars whooshing past and the sound of chatter, it makes you see it in a new light. Anyway, she’s safe & sound at House Conspiracy now 🌟🪽 Ask me more about it in person at my solo exhibition this Friday! 💋

Dolls, creatures & curious things… 🎩🐇ੈ✩‧₊˚ Here’s a glimpse of the art in my upcoming solo exhibition, ‘Show & Tell.’ The exhibition features whimsical charcoal illustrations, assemblage sculptures, and interactive artworks.
