Meet Oliver: a 12-year-old murder-mystery buff with a boundless imagination and a talent for storytelling. KIDS LIKE ME follows Oliver and his family as they set out to create an imaginative murder-mystery caper while navigating life with a rare genetic condition. Filled with humor, creativity, and heart, the film offers a joyful and deeply human reframing of disability, family, and the power of imagination. Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Cynthia Lowen (BATTLEGROUND) and media artist Jon Cohrs (BACKWATER), whose work explores storytelling, technology, and the environment. Don’t miss the DC Premiere. 🎟️ Sunday, June 14 at 11:15 AM 📍 Regal Gallery Place #dcdoxfest26

We listened to Carolyn 10+ times on repeated tonight, because we’re sad to hear Brian Wilson passed but also because little man couldn’t get enough of the train field recordings at the end of the song.

My film Back Water is only available for a few more weeks on Apple TV and Amazon. Check it out before it’s gone. Link in bio. My film has nothing to do with hitmen, but everything to do with urban wilderness. But it's the Meadowlands, so it's hard to escape the reference - so Alex Gibney included 12 shots from my film for his new doc Wise Guy: David Chase and the Sopranos - incredible backstory of the show out now on HBO. ❤️ Thanks to everyone who worked on Back Water!

While climate change is a difficult subject, I think combining Unreal Game Engine with 3D mapping tools can tie the story more directly to the landscape. Using scientific data we created an immersive story for NZZ on how climate change is transforming Switzerland's landscapes in 2075. Link in Bio

A couple of weeks ago I wrapped on co-directing our narrative film - The Game Is Murder. It’s part of a 3-year-long documentary we’ve been shooting that has a film-within-a-film. It was shot on LED wall mixing practical and virtual production at one of the oldest soundstages in NYC - Mel Brooks', The Producers (1967) was shot here. In the photos, you can see our game show backdrop which was created in Unreal. We had such an incredibly talented film crew who kept the cast at ease and created beautiful scenes and shots, plus Tony Shalhoub (Monk) appeared and joined as an Executive Producer. Now the sprint is on to finish editing🤞.

Meet our little Swiss humanoid in diapers, Avery Juno Cohrs - Nov 7. We’re pretty smitten - some photos of us over the last month, first snow, baby with donkey and irresponsible adults with doll.

I hiked up one of the ridges near Arosa to shoot some images of 'Hörnli', this big rock situated on the ridge with cliffs on either side. I almost lost the drone off the backside during a forced landing :/ Here's a video quickly compiled in Luma AI but #nerfstudio will be next to see if I can squeeze out a bit more resolution.

Nice to see an older project resurfaced in this incredible compendium of speculative work - Anthropocene Cookbook by @zane.cerpina & @stenslie @mitpress . We harvested pharmaceuticals from waste-treatment water to make a medicinal cure-all salt. Created in collaboration with Morgan Levy.
