Coming Saturday, Im making my first trip to KCK and Strawberry Hill with a popup at @splitlogcoffee . I’ll be setting up in the back roastery at 10am where you’ll be able to grab cold brew and pour over coffees, while you can grab your espresso drinks in the main cafe. New pop up! We’re heading to @splitlogcoffee with my homie @keysandcarrots for a brunch pop up. I’ll be handling the coffee focused cocktails and mocktails and @keysandcarrots will be serving up some incredible pastries and such. Menu will drop soon. Can’t wait to hang!

If you know me irl, or have glanced at the logo for my page, you probably know that my favorite color is green: either a grounding, dark, coastal-pine-in-the-middle-of-summer-camp type of green, or a dusky-sage-in-a-thunderstorm that reminds you of a fifteen-year-old-reverie type of green. I don’t make the rules, green is the best. I don’t really wear green, but I always gravitate to art, furniture, design, etc. that is green. I am a firm believer that a tasteful smattering of green - or an over-the-top saturation, i don’t care - will elevate any space. I type this with green nails, next to my green phone, sitting on a green velvet couch, in front of my green water bottle, a green-cased Kindle in the bag beside me. IT’S TASTEFUL, I PROMISE! As you know if you’ve followed this page for a while, space and atmosphere are very important to me in determining how a space makes me feel. I think typically it’s related to how old the space is + the quality of the furniture and uniqueness of its physical aesthetic, but a good bit of it is how they’ve chosen to decorate. I gravitate to spaces with a neutral, wood palette that heavily leans into, you guessed it, green: it’s cozy & feels lived in. Whether that comes in the form of a green mug, the paint color, or a lot of flora around a space, give me viridescence! I understand it is definitely not for everyone, but St. Patrick’s Day seems an appropriate time to give a shoutout to my favorite color. Here are some of my favorite fern, emerald, forest, olive, thyme, seaweed, jade, evergreen, celadon views from the Kansas City Coffee scene.
