We are beyond thrilled to announce Japanese legends @borisdronevil will be headlining ๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ ๐ง ๐๐ข๐๐๐ฌ ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐!!
In celebration of the 20 Year Anniversary of their landmark album Pink, Japanese legends Boris have announced an exclusive Australian show at Spliffs n Riffs Festival in Perth, Australia happening on March 1st, 2026. This one and only exclusive show on Australian continent will be a part of 3 stage / 20 band extravaganza Spliffs n Riffs Festival! (more artists will be announced soon!
Since their humble beginnings, Boris have fused catchy heavy rock with expansive, experimental soundscapesโ two seemingly opposing forces brought into harmony on a single sonic plane. With Pink as a pivotal point, Boris would go on to further evolve and deepen their own definition of โheavyโ by releasing an immense body of work while continually expanding the scope of their creative endeavors. Even now, they remain unswayed by convention, honing a singular aesthetic that defies predictability.
This upcoming show marks the 20th anniversary of Pink and will be performed by the three-piece lineup from that era. Centered around tracks from Pink, the tour will feature the very setlist that once boldly repainted the map of heavy rock with its vivid sonic colors.
Boris comment:
โโDo You Remember Pink Days?โ
For those who experienced that era in real timeโand for those encountering it live for the first timeโthis question will echo across personal timelines, bridging past and future alike.

Joining SPLIFFS n RIFFS [PERTH] 2026 are Perth's post black metal outfit Halo of Teeth
Formed in 2022 on the unceded lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people; traditional owners and custodians of Boorloo and Walyalup (Western Australia), Halo of Teeth are a 5-piece Post/Black Metal band.
Aesthetically ambiguous and musically ambitious, Halo of Teeth guide their listeners through the spectrum of emotions from the depths of crushing despair, to the euphoric ecstacy and joy of love and light in the shadow of death, 10+ minutes at a time. There is no theology here, only human experience and a cynical hope for a better world for all. With clear queer representation, Halo of Teeth stands opposed to the toxic culture of โtraditionalโ black metal, and will stand up for the equal rights of ALL.
Inspired by genre-expanding bands such as Altar of Plagues, White Ward and Liturgy, as well as Boorloo/Walyalup contemporaries such as Bolt Gun and Drowning Horse, Halo of Teeth is an entity that does not seek to find, but to explore, untethered, and their journey has just begun.
โWhile it's practically a foregone conclusion that Halo of Teeth will find a ready-made audience in fans of the genre, the most surprising aspect of the band is how they appeal to people who have little, if any, prior love for black metal. If your taste lies a world away from heavy music, you can be drawn in by Halo of Teeth's atmospheric beautyโฆ the โprettinessโ of their otherwise searing barrage. So too does the band's aesthetic display artistry well beyond the predictable. The apparent meticulousness with which they present themselves adds an extra dimension that elevates their live show into something more sophisticated than just a band playing music. Yet, they do all this humbly and sincerely. They are expressive yet unassuming. Charismatic without bluster. On stage, they appear more lost in their own world than โperformingโ โ implying more of a genuine self-expression than an act. For all of their musical ferocity, Halo of Teeth make something that is also, quite unexpectedly, graceful.โ

Joining SPLIFFS n RIFFS [PERTH] 2026 are Perthโs very on @guildbandau
Formed in 2018 and rebranded in 2025 as Guild (FKA The Wedges), this Western Australian five-piece fuses neo-psychedelia, desert rock, metal and sludge into a commanding and immersive sound.
Fronted by Molly Corderoy, whose vocal versatility ranges from ethereal melodies to raw, guttural intensity, Guild delivers a dynamic live experience that blends shifting atmospheres with powerful instrumentation.
Rounding out the lineup are Michael DeKlerk (bass), Sam Pursglove (guitar), Zane Chase (drums) and Dan Ross (synthesizer/guitar), whose collective approach creates textured, evolving compositions.
The band also curates their own independent festival, Wedgefest, with the 2024 edition drawing over 250 attendees to the main room of Perthโs Rosemount Hotel, reflecting their strong DIY ethos and growing community support.
Guildโs debut album, โREIGNโ, released in August 2025, marked a major milestone in the bandโs evolution.
The record encapsulates their sonic range, from brooding psychedelia to explosive heaviness.
Notable live performances include: โข Supporting The Screaming Jets โ November 2024 โข Electric Eye Heavy Fest 2024 alongside Psycroptic, Pathogen, and Suldusk โข Spliffs n Riffs Festival (2022, 2023, 2024), supporting various artists including Minami Deutsch (Japan) โข Pox-Eclipse Festival โข Southern Cross WA โข Goldfields (2022, 2023)
With a bold new identity, a growing reputation for immersive live shows and their debut album out now, Guild is forging a distinctive path through Australiaโs heavy and psychedelic music scenes.
