The yellow teeth on the zip are intentionally left unlinked and covered by a protective flap. This design creates a break point in the zip, allowing the inflated lifejacket to force the zip open and deploy freely in an emergency. Without this gap, the lifejacket wouldn't be able to inflate properly.
You can easily re-close the zip by following one of our how-to videos - or do it yourself in just a few steps. If the flap pops out, make sure to tuck it back in securely.
