〰️ When we feel like we can't keep going, somehow we do 〰️ Getting lost in my imagination and working in a more intuitive way rather than having a prescribed plan has become a big part of my work in the last year. No longer having the pressure of freelance work has given me more freedom to explore design that brings me joy and my latest design collaboration with @molke_uk certainly brings me joy - let the Wiggles embrace you! It might not look like it but drawing like this brings calm to my often chaotic mind and helps to bring me out of grumps and slumps. It is definitely one of my favourite things I've ever worked on and it makes me so happy to wear! You can wear it too if you head over to @molke_uk ! There was a book I made in uni, Reflections on Growth which is an idea I come back to a lot. I'm currently recovering from surgery and I had a whole bunch of wanky thoughts about growth and recovery and pruning and stuff but I'll spare you the monologue! Do you ever start a project thinking it will be a fun little experiment and then realise halfway through that it involves staring at your own face a lot? Phew! I'm not sure I have the patience to do any more of these but it was a super interesting challenge AND it had a purpose! Head over to @chipcollective to see why I made my face out of felt. I've been off work this week and have found some time to make something for myself. I was inspired to make this after reading the prompts for #GraysonsArtClub and picked the prompt of food. During the first lockdown last year I was living closer to my Granny which meant I could help her with her messages and have lovely door step chats with her all summer. I really treasure those days and wanted to turn one of her wee shopping lists into something special so here is Granny's List - an embroidered shopping list on white felt. There is something very magical to me about recreating someone else's handwriting slowly and deliberately. She did get some yeast but not on that shopping trip. Poor gal just wanted to make some pizza!

For a while this space will just be a wee place for me to share the things I make for fun and for friends until I work out what I'm going to be up to here. This is a little brooch I made for a friend inspired by our weekly stalk market chats (if you know, you know...) Can you let me know what you want SPILTHdesign to be in the future? All suggestions welcome, I can't promise any of them will become a reality. #ACNH #AnimalCrossing

Pre-order info is now up in stories and in the "Pre-order" highlight. Please read it all carefully and ask me any questions before Saturday at 4pm. I have decided to add Rainbows to the line-up as they were well loved at markets last year and some people aren't always into corporeal decorations! Plus who doesn't love a hopeful rainbow, whatever it may represent for you. A quarter of all proceeds will be split evenly between Dundee Women's Aid and Endo UK.

As promised - a wee look at the little Uterus. There will be some ribbon so you can hang it on your tree (and curse at it if you are so inclined... I find it helps 😂) I should say that this post and the one previously are not the preorder posts! I will do this at the weekend and post more info this week about how it will work. Both this and the Booble will have a quarter of their proceeds going to Endometriosis UK and Dundee Women's Aid.

It's November so that means only one thing... It's almost time to get the tree up! I have seen some folk with their tree up already and quite frankly that is magnificent and necessary right now 🎄☃️🎁 I'm thinking of releasing a few preorder slots for these festive friends. Does that sound good to you folks? The shop won't be opening because I seriously can't deal with the stress of "Where's my item I ordered it yesterday!" emails but I thought this would be a nice way to let some of you get a Booble for your tree. I will also be opening up some slots for Uteruses (the design has changed slightly I'll post a pic tomorrow) and I have a number of bits and bobs that have been in storage that deserve to be loved and might make a nice gift! Anyway if this sounds like something you would be into let me know in the comments and I'll get a plan together. Making is starting to feel like a thing I might want to do again ☺️

I've not really felt the call of the craft this year for a few reasons, but I had a wee idea while falling asleep a few weeks ago and decided to try out a quick fun thing. I don't normally put faces on stuff but we definitely need more cute and smily content at the moment! Anyways, Happy Halloween you lovely lot. I hope you are all muddling through as best you can! 💚🎃💜

General feeling towards everything at the moment...

Things feel strange right now. We are on the cusp of something and if we aren't careful equality and inclusivity will be out of reach again. In case it hasn't been clear in the past, I stand for the equal rights of ALL women. Cis isn't a slur and TERFs aren't welcome here. Sending strength and solidarity to all my sisters who need it today. This has been an IWD post.
