I first imagined this song as a duet. Getting to unite and see that idea through with @jeandawsn who has so much vision and magnetism was so special
When I first heard his music, I felt an immediate sense of recognition… A kind of familiarity in our difference
This collab brought out the full story of the song. A ballad and an ode to being outcasts of love, fleeing the injustices of the world’s vitriol and finding refuge in another’s heart.
