“Bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green boasted a dark, voluminous voice tailor-made for the walloping crescendos of ‘La calunnia,’ Basilio’s tribute to scheming and slander. When the aria invoked cannon shots, Green had the goods to drive home the point.” –Texas Classical Review
Get swept away in Ryan Speedo Green’s performance of “La calunnia e un venticello” from Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. Don’t miss your chance to hear it live at HGO—just three performances left!
They say the devil has all the best tunes.🎶

Alexander and Enias — being your mom is the honor of my life. Thank you for filling my world with love, laughter, and so much joy. Motherhood changed everything for me.
Because of these two boys, I’ve learned a love bigger than words, patience and a strength I never knew I had. I’m endlessly proud to be your Mama. 🤗
Newport, Rhode Island stole our hearts 🤍
From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical—the charm of this beautiful seaside town, the peaceful beaches, the incredible food, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you slow down and enjoy every second.
But what made this trip unforgettable was the people. We had the joy of meeting the bride’s wonderful family, sharing such meaningful and heartwarming moments together, and spending precious bonding time with our dear Uncle Way Way.
Celebrating this beautiful union filled with love, emotion, and genuine connection was something we’ll always treasure. We feel so grateful to have been part of such a special occasion. @colleenmryan & @maisonjacques46 —thank you for letting us share in your love story. We are truly blessed to call you our amazing friends 🤍✨
Happy 40th Birthday, my love ❤️
Everyone help me wish this incredible, miraculous man, a very happy birthday! Everything you set your mind to, you exceed beyond expectation. I am so proud of who you are and the way you grow every day.
You are an amazing father and such a loving husband, and I feel so happy and grateful to have you by my side for life.
I love you endlessly. 💫
Tonight @speedogreen makes his role debut as King Marke @metopera in a new production of Wagner’s epic, Tristan und Isolde, directed by @yuvalsharon_nyc and conducted by @nezetseguin ! Toi Toi Toi, Speedo!
The 2026–27 season has just been announced at the Metropolitan Opera @metopera , and I’m thrilled to share what’s ahead at my operatic home.
Kicking off the season in Fall 2026, I’ll return to Verdi as Banquo in a brand-new production of Macbeth. Performances run September 22 through October 20, 2026. Banquo’s nobility, depth, and haunting presence make him one of Verdi’s most powerful bass roles, and I cannot wait to bring him to life in this new staging.
In Spring 2027, I dive back into Wagner as Klingsor in Parsifal, opening May 20 through June 5, 2027. A dark, complex, and psychologically charged role, Klingsor stands at the center of one of Wagner’s most mystical and transcendent works.
In between these productions, I’m honored to take part in two very special concert events:
• The Diamond Jubilee celebration — 60 years at Lincoln Center — on May 25, 2027, marking six decades of the Met at Lincoln Center.
• Symphony No. 8 by Mahler, with three performances from June 10–12, 2027 — a monumental work to close out the season.
From Verdi to Wagner, and from grand opera to historic celebrations, the 2026–27 season promises to be one I’ll never forget.
See the post for all performance details — and I can’t wait to see you at the opera.
