Last Friday was a night to remember! Our second Noche de Ópera brought the energy from the moment the doors opened. Music filled the Grand Foyer, audiences experienced The Barber of Seville with both Spanish and English supertitles, and community partners helped turn the evening into a vibrant celebration of Houston’s Hispanic and Latin cultures.

“Bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green boasted a dark, voluminous voice tailor-made for the walloping crescendos of ‘La calunnia,’ Basilio’s tribute to scheming and slander. When the aria invoked cannon shots, Green had the goods to drive home the point.” –Texas Classical Review Get swept away in Ryan Speedo Green’s performance of “La calunnia e un venticello” from Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. Don’t miss your chance to hear it live at HGO—just three performances left!
