Speed Rack has a book 📕! Our founders Lynnette Marrero @drinksat6 and Ivy Mix @ivymix joined with co-author Megan Krigbaum @mdkrigbaum , 📸 Megan Rainwater @meganrainwater and over 80 of our international women+ bar community to put together A Quick Drink! This book shines a spotlight on the most influential women+ behind the bar today and their inventive drinks. It is an homage to the hard-earned wisdom gleaned over years in the beverage industry taking @speed_rack across the globe.
For 11 seasons of competitions to date, Speed Rack has brought together women+ from across the globe to duel head-to-head in timed challenges, making drinks using only ingredients provided onstage for a panel of esteemed judges, all in the name of raising money for breast cancer charities.
We’ve donated 100% of proceeds from Speed Rack events to breast cancer organizations and have raised over $1.5 million dollars. Duly, we will also be donating a portion of royalties from the book sales to this important cause.
A Quick Drink, which features over 100 recipes from more than 80 international bartenders, expands on this model of high-energy efficiency as a guidebook to creating both original and classic cocktails at home, with drinks that range from approachable to ambitious. Offering recipes from more than a decade of Speed Rack participants and Lynnette and Ivy. 💖
A Quick Drink: The Speed Rack Guide to Winning Cocktails for Any Mood is published by @abramsbooks and is available for pre-order now (🔗 in bio!) and will be available via all major booksellers on April 30, 2024!
