🚨!!SWAG ALERT!!🚨
.
Do you want to own a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted SPACEMAKERII t-shirt?? Well you’re in luck! We’re making a limited series of shirts, featuring our classic map so you’ll never get lost. Each shirt is $30, and we have limited stock. Most of the sizes will be Large or Extra Large (model is wearing size XL). If you want a specific size please DM us and we will make one to your size! We will be selling these during our closing party on Oct 4th!
.
We’re making these shirts as a fundraiser to recoup some of the funds we lost during a break in at SPACEMAKERII that happened in mid September. They didn’t take any tools or art, but they did take all the cash we had been saving over the past 2 years. If you are in the position to purchase a shirt to help us out we would appreciate it!
.
Thank you for your support, and see you all Oct 4th!
Join us one last time @spacemaker2 next Friday, October 4th from 7-10pm to celebrate the end of ⭐️KEEPSAKES⭐️
On view in the gallery will be a show by Carrier Bag Collective members titled Carrier Shell.🐚
In the back Caroline will be selling $5 drinks, Spacemaker merch, and items from her shop. All funds will go to replacing Spacemaker’s cash float which was stolen a few weeks ago.💰
Thanks for supporting Carrier Bag this season, come party with us!! 💃🏻
Join us for a 🌟soapstone carving workshop🌟 guided by Andria Keen in conjunction with her exhibition "Regarding a tree" at Spacemaker II. 🌿Gallery Weekend Toronto (Sept 19th - 22nd)
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in Patrick Stochmal's artist workshop: "Making a Memory Brick"! Guests had the opportunity to construct their own bricks from foraged clay and add personal objects to the molds! Thanks as well to everyone who was able to check out his solo exhibition "bodies swallowed but not digested" over the past few weeks! ❤️
🧱Join Patrick Stochmal as he leads folks in making "memory bricks". In his work (a place to rest our bodies) Stochmal uses handmade bricks made out of clay and items of personal significance, such as pine needles, love letters, and dryer lint, to form a sculpture. We invite attendees to bring items of meaning to embed in their very own memory brick.💌

Carrier Bag Collective presents the next exhibition in our KEEPSAKES summer series: (bodies swallowed but not digested) by @patrick.stochmal ! 🍃🪨 🦠
Patrick Stochmal’s foraged clay bricks commemorate his formative queer experiences while gesturing towards a speculative home. Secrets scrawled in now-shredded love letters, clay excavated from forest sites, pine needles fallen from a family tree, are molded into bricks in this recollection of trysts. Conceptually and literally unearthing hidden sites of intimacy, the work probes the liminal thresholds between life, death, and contamination.
Join us for the opening reception next Friday, July 26 from 7-10 pm @spacemaker2 or Sundays between July 28th - August 18th from 1-5 pm.
Spacemaker II is located at 100 Palmerston Ave in the back alley, please see our profile for a detailed map!
