We’re excited to unveil the commemorative poster art for the 39th Annual Loisaida Festival, created by artist and designer Mateo Nazario
@maitexnazario , born in Guatemala, raised between Guatemala and Puerto Rico, and currently a resident artist at The Loisaida, Inc. Center.
For nearly four decades, LoisaidaFest has brought together residents, artists, families, merchants, community organizations, and visitors in celebration of the neighborhood’s enduring cultural life.
This year’s theme, “Our AmeRícan Thing,” honors Loisaida not only as a place, but as a language, a rhythm, and a way of belonging—carried through music, poetry, theater, food, and shared community. Inspired by the spirit of Jesús “Tato” Laviera, we celebrate presence, memory, collective pride, and the living future we continue to shape together.
This year’s Main Stage, is co-hosted by Giraldo Alvare
@sp.alwaysforward and Caridad "La Bruja" de la Luz
