Danielle’s wedding morning at Southlands Barn felt exactly how every wedding morning should feel… calm, relaxed, and full of excitement without the rush ✨
One thing Danielle did so well was giving herself more time than she thought she’d needed. Hair and makeup were basically finished by the time I arrived, which completely changed the energy of the morning. There was time to wander around, soak it all in, do a few final touch-ups, and actually be present instead of constantly watching the clock.
Of course, like every wedding morning, timings still somehow creep up on you 😂 and we ended up doing a few getting-ready portraits behind a curtain. But honestly? Look how epic they turned out. Using my torch and flash, we created something so artistic and unique — proof that even when things don’t go perfectly to plan, magic can still happen.
And Danielle herself just lit up every room she walked into. Her energy, her smile, the way she carried herself all day… she absolutely glowed. Every portrait I captured of her felt radiant ✨️
A few little wedding morning tips while we’re here:
🌼 Keep your getting ready space as clear and tidy as possible — it makes SUCH a difference in photos. Nominate someone to manage this!
🌼 Have whoever is helping you into your dress fully ready before you are - ideally, your entire bridal party should be ready before you are to!
🌼 Get into your dress at least 30 minutes before you actually need to leave — it gives you buffer time, a moment to breathe, have a drink, hug your girls, and properly enjoy the morning
