On Friday, we had the honor of collaborating with one of our closest friends on her latest project, @pawnychessclub ♟️ First of all, Alex, we are so incredibly proud of you and Pawnee. This project was pure magic, and we feel so lucky to be part of it Big thank you to @mud_umprum for hosting in their beautiful space and to everyone who helped us bring it to life. And of course, thank you thank you thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night so special. We hope you found your checkmate, maybe your soulmate, and hopefully took some flowers home too ❤️🌹 A huge shoutout as well to all the amazing people who helped prepare, set up, and clean, we truly couldn’t have done it without you. Grateful for every single person who showed up, supported, and shared this moment with us ♟️

Pleiku, newly opened in Libeň. We went for the soft opening and had sourdough toast with homemade gervais, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The coffee was easily the best I have had in a long time. @praguedesignguide ordered another one before finishing the first. Each coffee comes with a description of the beans, and the service was warm and attentive. Already planning to come back for the noodles with mushrooms and parmesan emulsion, and the fig toast. Set inside a former pharmacy, the space pairs raw concrete ceilings and glass block walls with soft paper lanterns and a small coffee gallery showing the beans and tools behind each cup.

Better Than Clasico. You get a menu, but you order by ticking a small triangle, which we enjoyed more than expected. We had the tteokbokki, tofu, basil chicken and fried chicken. The tteokbokki was where the Italian and Korean really came together, rice cake with a white ragù that was giving take this away from me. The tofu was simple and clean, a good pause between heavier dishes. The basil chicken was the standout, deeply savoury and the one everyone kept going back to. The fried chicken was crisp and well seasoned. We finished with tiramisu for dessert. The interior is very pared back, raw walls, basic tables and chairs, practical lighting. Some of the details are clearly DIY, which gives it character without feeling forced. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and the whole place feels easy to stay in longer than planned (as you can see from the last video)

CITRUS, CELERY the perfect christmas salad to lighten up a table full of fried carp and řízek, and potatos drowing in mayo. In a large bowl combine: oranges, grapefruit and their juices, apples, celery, dill, salt, and olive oil. Top with toasted walnuts in maple syrup, and parmigiano 🤍

when the sun disappears at 3pm, i fight back. chicken drumsticks, mandarins, garlic, rosemary, onions. into the oven. mash your potatoes with an irresponsible amount of butter. eat immediately. repeat as needed.
