extreme cashmere amsterdam softness you can see, calm you can feel The Extreme Cashmere store in Amsterdam is more than a retail space, it’s an extension of the brand’s philosophy. Minimal, tactile, and quietly luxurious, the interior strips everything back to what matters: texture, light, and ease.

In 1919, Walter Gropius founded the Bauhaus school in Weimar, Germany, revolutionizing design by merging art and craftsmanship. The structure of the Bauhaus school broke the boundaries between craftspeople and artists, placing all students in the same workshops where they experimented and learned hands-on, something that was completely unheard of at the time for art students. Key Principles Form Follows Function: Ornaments are removed to focus on efficiency. Industrial Materials: Tubular steel, glass, concrete, and chrome. Geometric Shapes & Minimalism: Simple, clean, geometric forms (circles, squares, triangles) dominate the structure and furniture. Open Floor Plans: Focus on maximizing light and space, removing unnecessary walls to create airy interiors.

Pleiku, newly opened in Libeň. We went for the soft opening and had sourdough toast with homemade gervais, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The coffee was easily the best I have had in a long time. @praguedesignguide ordered another one before finishing the first. Each coffee comes with a description of the beans, and the service was warm and attentive. Already planning to come back for the noodles with mushrooms and parmesan emulsion, and the fig toast. Set inside a former pharmacy, the space pairs raw concrete ceilings and glass block walls with soft paper lanterns and a small coffee gallery showing the beans and tools behind each cup.

Better Than Clasico. You get a menu, but you order by ticking a small triangle, which we enjoyed more than expected. We had the tteokbokki, tofu, basil chicken and fried chicken. The tteokbokki was where the Italian and Korean really came together, rice cake with a white ragù that was giving take this away from me. The tofu was simple and clean, a good pause between heavier dishes. The basil chicken was the standout, deeply savoury and the one everyone kept going back to. The fried chicken was crisp and well seasoned. We finished with tiramisu for dessert. The interior is very pared back, raw walls, basic tables and chairs, practical lighting. Some of the details are clearly DIY, which gives it character without feeling forced. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and the whole place feels easy to stay in longer than planned (as you can see from the last video)

RISE AND DINE! This week we’re stopping by Typika Holešovice, a space that feels like a deep breath. The interiors are warm and minimal, filled with natural light that makes every cup of matcha and slice of sourdough look cinematic. Come for the design, stay for the food. Typika’s buttered sourdough alone is reason enough to cross the river, but the calm energy, great coffee and dog friendly atmosphere make it an easy favorite. Perfect after a fall walk through Holešovice.

Next up in our @praguedesignguide series is Alf&Bet in Palmovka. A space that feels bright and open with big windows, skylights and an industrial touch. You see the bakers at work, the roaster in action and the smell of fresh bread everywhere. The toast with Prague ham and Emmental is to die for and the canelé is just as addictive. Every day there is something new from pizza to focaccia to whatever magic comes out of the oven. They also care about the little things. Bring your own to go cup, enjoy their eco friendly mindset and feel good about coming back again and again. Where should we head next?

Continuing our collab series with @praguedesignguide , where we share our favorite Prague restaurants! This time we’re taking you to Kuchyn at Prague Castle, a place that celebrates both food and design. The menu is rooted in traditional Czech cooking, with seasonal dishes served straight from pots and pans to your table. Honest, comforting flavors; from roasted meats to garden vegetables, feel both familiar and elevated. Rustic wooden interiors, thoughtful details, and the most incredible castle view tie the whole experience together. It’s the perfect spot to bring friends visiting from abroad. Whether just for a beer with an unforgettable view, or for a full Czech feast followed by a stroll down to the Old Town. A restaurant that reminds you how much beauty there is in simplicity.

Projekt se postupně posouvá do finální fáze
