Thrilled to share this project that @itschristiekaye and I have been working on with the amazing team at @murfitfitnessclub ! Huge thanks to Blake for the opportunity and to Christie for the awesome collab. Inspired by Italian artist Giovanni Bellini (a style that I've been wanting to explore for awhile) this piece was a dream to work on. Can't wait to share more about it (cause there alot of thoughts , emotions and ideas in each of these)

This past weekend @itschristiekaye and I had the opportunity to set up at @marketsquaresa for @calaverasdeazucarfest . It was great to see so many friends.. .Many of which I haven't seen for awhile!! To meet some of my insta fans in the real.. i got to meet some new kats and was able to see so many friends from my creative family here in San Antonio!! I really had a great time painting but more so.. I had a great time just being there .. part of our community.. our culture. The conversations.. market food.. beers with friends and the memories of friends and family that have passed on. Thank you so much to @iaamguild for the invite!! And a very special thanks to Kaye for setting me up so properly. I really couldn't have done this without you Christie.

There's no quick way about it.. but I have a couple tips that really help me.
Low tack spray .. keeps my paper and my cutting mat real buddy buddy and helps keep my lil islands in the same spot.. which leads to my next tip... Self-adhesive fiberglass drywall mesh (say that a few times quick).. even though it's "self adhesive" I still use some supper 77 on it 🤘
Then when actually using them.. a light spray to keep em on the wall.. sure I can use tape but who wants fuzzy stencils when the spray has its way with ya ??
As for getting my images and fonts on the paper.. I use a projector. A large printer would be awesome!! But so would a laser cutter 🤔
For cutting.. snap blades are convenient or order a big box of xactos (a fresh blade is a thing of beauty)
And
A cutting mat really is awesome!! I've used glass in the past and it works good and is way easier to clean my low tack off of but I love my cutting mat.

Meet Mugen.. he's the unpredictable (and kinda assh*le) character of Samurai Champloo, known for his breakdancing-inspired fighting moves and tough.. no-nonsense personality. Alongside Jin, he embarks on a journey to find the mysterious samurai who smells of sunflowers.. driven by his own agenda as a vagrant outlaw wary of authority.
Looking to experiment with "Transtint" dye colors for wood.. a lil costly but from what I've seen their colors are amazing!
